The Thistle

The thistle is found in Colorado.Yes, a thistle is a weed,but weeds grow flowers, too. They grow about 3 feet high with a purplish flower. Animals eat them,because of the prickles on there stem and leaves . Thistles are herbs. There are more then 200 species of thistle. The Latin name is Cirsium.
