Humming birds are small American birds that make a humming noise with their wings. There are about 300 spices that are tropical. 20 spices live in the United States. Humming birds have differrent color wings, bodies, and feathers. they seem to only have black eyes. They eat things that are very sweet. The bill is long and needle like. Humming birds can also fly backwards as well as forwards. The wings vibrating 50 to 200 times a second, appear as a blur. The bird's tiny nest is built of plants, bark, and held together by spider web.
