SPORTS and OTHER ACTIVITIES BY THE OCEAN

In America we like to play Running Bases, Boogie Board (body surfing on a floatation device), build sandcastles, and American Football is also a beach favorite.

We also play volleyball, surf, swim, and fish.

Some people like to skimboarding(which is when you have a lightweight board and you throw it down in shallow water and jump on it so it can go forward into a wave and go up the wave). I've never done it but it looks really cool!

Many people go to the ocean for fun. Some people swim, others "ride the waves." Whenever you go to the beach in the U.S. you see people building sand castles. That is my favorite thing to do at the ocean!

Some people fish, the ocean has a lot of fish!

When I am at the beach, my sisters always find beautiful shells. The beach is a great place to have fun!

At the sea shore, I like to play whiffle ball. Whiffle ball is the same as baseball exept you play with a plastic bat and a plastic ball with holes in it. We play barefoot and sliding is allowed because we play on the soft sand. You don't have to play whiffle ball on the beach, but I think it is more fun.
