1.Did you know that 80 percent of the pollution of the marine environment comes from the land, such as run off pollution.

Run off pollution is caused by -Septic tanks, cars, trucks, boats and many more.

2.Did you know that millions of vehicles a day drop oil spills. Which runs of into gutters and rain water pipes which runs out to the sea.

3. Did you know that some water pollution's turn into air pollution which goes into waterways and beaches.

4.Did you know that dirt is one kind of pollution. Dirt can run of into water ways which can harm fish and wild life.

5.Did you know that 1|3 of the shell fishes in the U.S.A  are affected by coastal pollution.

6.Air pollution is responsible almost 1|3 of the toxic contaminants and nutrients that enter coastal and ocean areas.

7. Pollution from toxic chemicals threatens life on Earth. Ecosystems and wildlife everywhere  which includes seals, whales, alligators and many other species - have been seriously affected, and there is growing evidence of harm to humans as well.

8. The first time man caught a fish is not recorded in history. It should probably be ranked up there with the discovery of fire and the wheel. Today the threats of over fishing and the coastal ecosystems have combined to put many fish stocks in trouble.

9. When plastic reaches our waters, whether it be plastic bags or drifting fish nets, it is a threat to the animals that depend on the oceans for food. To a sea turtle, a floating plastic bag looks like a jellyfish. And plastic pellets, the small hard pieces of plastic from which plastic products are made, look like fish eggs to seabirds. Drifting nets entangle birds, fish and mammals, making it difficult, if not impossible to move or eat.

10. There was a time, not even 100 years ago, when scientists believed that the fisheries of the world could never die. Then in the 1950s and 60s, military technologies were made to fishing in the oceans.
